I pulled into our parish parking lot a few month’s ago and saw a great bumper sticker. It said “It’s Three O’Clock Somewhere….Pray the Chaplet!” What a great reminder that no matter what time of the day it is, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy invokes “mercy on us, and on the whole world.” We know that our world certainly needs mercy, and this is a devotion that is great for your whole family. I know my 4 year old especially loves it, and insists we pray it before bed. Any time she spots a rosary, she quips, “Mom, can we say the Chaplet?” Although it may not be the best timing, I know “out of the mouth of babes comes truth and wisdom” and I will always stop and pray, even if its just a decade. As we live out the vocation of motherhood, we can reach out to the Heavenly Father in prayer and ask for the graces we need to be holy. Graces are like specific gifts for the soul to strengthen us to better live out our vocations. St. Faustina shares with us over and over again that the Chaplet is worth praying.
Emily and I also know that the Divine Mercy devotion is one that is not only worth living, but worth spreading to others. Jesus promises “Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant.” (Diary of St. Faustina 1075) Even though awareness of this devotion has surged since St. John Paul II declared Divine Mercy Sunday universally recognized by the Catholic Church, we know many people still don’t know about it or the great graces that God wants to give us. Thanks to the amazing graphic design team at Ave Maria Press, we are very excited to offer you our latest free download – a card on how to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. You can download the Praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet card here or share the jpg below on your social media!
This is so beautiful! I love the infographic you all have created. I cannot wait to read your book Divine Mercy for Moms. I’m co-directing a new Cathoilc ministry called Mary Garden Showers (marygardenshowers.org) and we are totally interested in sharing the Divine Mercy message with the Mothers we serve. But in order to do that well, first I need to learn more myself!!!!! God bless you both, and thank you for your faithfulness to God’s calling in your own lives – as evidenced in the existence of such a beautiful book. 🙂
