Divine Mercy Sunday is a Feast Day you don’t want to miss!   Jesus promised to “pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the Fount of My Mercy” (St. Faustina’s Diary, 699) on this day.  In honor or this special feast day, we thought we’d share some of our favorite links and resources to help your family celebrate this Sunday, April 23rd.

This year, I’m making Divine Mercy Pancakes for breakfast…. a simple heart shaped pancake with strawberries and whipped cream to represent the blood and water poured out from the heart of Jesus.

If you don’t like pancakes, check out this “Super Simple Divine Mercy Cake” from our friend Mary at betterthaneden.com.

Or visit our link from last year as we celebrated with ice cream “Divine Mercy Sundaes” and prayed the chaplet with friends and family.

Celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday

Our family always takes time out in the afternoon to make a local celebration of the Feast Day at a parish.  This year is extra special though, as Emily and I are headed to St. Xavier Parish in Cincinnati to speak about the St. Faustina, the Devotion to Divine Mercy and how we can live out mercy in deed, word and prayer.  The day will include, mass, FREE lunch, our talk, benediction, confession and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.   Join us if you are in the area!  (for more info click here – St. Xavier Divine Mercy Sunday Flyer)

If you want to learn more about the devotion, be sure to Download the official Divine Mercy app to learn more about this Feast Day, the Divine Mercy  Devotion and prepare by praying the Novena to Divine Mercy.
